For those who tried both: did you notice a real difference between methylated folate and regular folic acid? I feel like the methylated version hits faster and is easier on my system.

I’ve tried both, and yeah — I noticed a difference. Regular folic acid always felt slower and sometimes gave me a weird “heavy” feeling. With methylated folate , the effect kicks in quicker and feels cleaner, almost like my body doesn’t have to work as hard to process it. Could be placebo, but a lot of people who don’t convert folic acid efficiently say the same thing. For me, the methylated version has definitely been easier on my system.

I switched because regular folic acid sometimes caused headaches or just didn’t seem to do much. The methylated form is definitely smoother for me.

Methylated folate is more bioavailable, but folic acid is still effective and well-studied for the general population.
